The Honey Ants are John Grímsey and Rebecca Hamer. They write, perform and record Nashville-infused Americana blended with a distinctly London sound. They call it Atlanticana.
To date they've seen support from PRS International Showcase Fund, Music Week, Record of the Day, BBC Radio 2, BBC 6 Music, CBC Radio 2 (Canada), WFUV (New York) and Amazing Radio amongst others.
2016 through 2017 saw them back and forth to Nashville, co-writing with internationally renowned local songwriters, and they are currently busy in the studio recording for a 2018 release.
During this time they also played select shows on both sides of the Atlantic, including AmericanaFest in Nashville and C2C at The O2 London.
The Honey Ants are supported by PRS Foundation’s International Showcase Fund, which is run by PRS Foundation in partnership with Department of International Trade (DIT), British Underground, Arts Council England, The Musicians’ Union (MU), PPL, Creative Scotland and the Musicians’ Union (MU) in association with PledgeMusic.
